The Fleet

A total of 6 apparatus make up our fleet. 5 are kept on-site at our station, and another (rehab truck) is kept off-site and maintained by Auxiliary.

The Station

Our current station was originally built in 1954, has 5 bays and houses two engines, one pumper/tanker, one brush truck, and a brush/medical truck.

In March of 2012 the Fork Civic Club decided to donate it’s building and property to the Fork Fire Department. We will be using this building to hold training meetings, and also plan on continuing to rent out this building to hold community events. Reflective Address Signs

Can we find your home in case of an emergency? Not having a highly visible sign at the end of your driveway could add time to our response, when time is most important. We sell vertical and horizontal address signs available in blue and green for $15. To order one, fill out the contact form on this website, stop by, or call the station.

Fundraising

We receive our funding from a $0.05 tax rate from Davie County. To help offset our operations costs, we hold periodic fundraisers throughout the year. Check our our fundraiser page for ways you can support Fork Fire Department.

Historical Photos

Have any pictures of old fires, trucks, personnel, or events that Fork Fire Department was a part of? We’re looking for old pictures we may have not seen before that members the community could have. If you’re willing to let the department make a copy of the photo, fill out the contact form to let us know.

Welcome to the online home of Fork Volunteer Fire Department, Davie County Station 15. We are a group of 42 volunteers and one part-time paid employee who protect the citizens and property of the Fulton Township and surrounding communities.

Our station is located at the intersection of US Hwy 64 East and Fork Bixby Road in Advance, NC. Our district extends 5 miles in all directions from the station, approximately 80 square miles.

In 2011 our members cumulatively had a total of 2,999.50 training hours, up from 2,897 training hours in 2010. In 2011, we spent a total of 693.57 hours on scene helping members of our community. We met each Monday night at 19:00 at the station during the colder months, and bi-monthly during the warmer months.

We’d like to thank Cooleemee Station 14 for assisting with Ladder 14 on our call yesterday. It was a big help. Hopefully one day we can repay the favor.
