We will be hosting our annual meeting on Saturday February 4th at 7 pm at Fork Civics Club. We invite anyone who lives or owns property in the district to come be a part of the meeting.
As of July 1st, we’ve welcomed 1501 into service. She’ll be our first out truck on in district structure fires, our mutual aid truck for Mocksville, and will be our company transfer apparatus.
In the next couple days we’ll be upgrading our text paging of calls from the Davie County SMS to Active911 (http://www.active911.com/) This will allow texts to be received faster, and if you have an iPhone, downloading the App will also provide a map to the location of the call. Firefighters will not need to do anything, and the changeover should be completed within the next 48-72 hours.
During the summer months, we will only meet twice a month. We will meet on 6/25/12, 7/9/12, and 7/23/12. We will pick back up with weekly meetings starting in September.
We’d like to thank Cooleemee Station 14 for assisting with Ladder 14 on our call yesterday. It was a big help. Hopefully one day we can repay the favor.
We want to say a big “Thank You” to everyone who came out and supported our recent BBQ Chicken Fundraiser. It was great to see such great support from our community.
